I know of nothing that takes as much time as I waste thinking or worrying about it.
The time it takes to do a thing is miniscule compared to the time spent contemplating it. That can be okay, except when the "contemplation" is just ruminating and thoroughly unproductive. It is more of a hindrance than a help. That's when the trouble is the cogitating.
The old adage is, If you don't have time to do it right, you'll have to make time to redo it and fix it. Can be true, but it's also true that If you sit and stew about it for a while before doing it, you may well miss the best benefit of doing it, because you'll still be thinking about it when the good stuff would have been accruing.
